About This Place

Ubani - Bay Ridge is a standout gem in Brooklyn for lovers of authentic Georgian cuisine. Situated on 3rd Avenue, this charming restaurant invites you to experience the rich culinary traditions of Georgia through a thoughtfully crafted menu that bursts with vibrant flavors and rustic elegance.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly balances cozy comfort with a touch of refined charm. Whether dining in the intimate indoor space or relaxing in the beautiful courtyard, Ubani creates an ideal setting for savoring each bite and sharing memorable meals with friends or family.

What truly sets Ubani apart is its dedication to authentic, richly flavored dishes made with care and high-quality ingredients. A must-try is the famed Adjaruli Khachapuri, an oven-baked, boat-shaped pie filled with melted cheese and crowned with a perfectly poached egg-creamy, indulgent, and utterly satisfying. Variations like the Adjaruli with spinach or mint add a fresh twist to this classic, showcasing the kitchen’s expertise. For a heartier bite, the Khinkali, Georgian dumplings filled with savory lamb or beef, deliver a juicy burst of flavor with every bite, while the Ojakhuri Grilled Pork Mtsvadi offers tender, white wine-marinated lamb paired with baby potatoes and tangy plum sauce (tkemali), a dish celebrated by regulars and newcomers alike.

The menu also boasts delightful appetizers and salads such as the Beet Salad with Goat Cheese, where marinated beets meet a vibrant raspberry-cilantro sauce atop a corn bread base, and the Eggplant with Walnut Sauce, a velvety, nutty dish praised for its perfectly balanced seasoning. Not to be missed are the freshly baked Georgian breads and traditional delicacies like Gebzhalia, a fresh cheese rolled with mint and herbs, served with fried cornmeal for a contrast of textures.

Ubani’s beverage selections complement the cuisine beautifully, with an impressive array of Georgian wines that deepen the authenticity of the experience. For something refreshing, their Georgian lemonade offers a crisp, citrusy balance to the meal.

Customers rave about the hospitality and consistent quality at Ubani. Andre, a regular patron, sums it up best: “Food is always up to par and quality never disappoints. This is one of those spots you can come anytime and always enjoy it.” The authentic flavors left Tamar Turashvili, a Georgian native, amazed, while Rebecca Song highlighted the “insanely delicious food across the board,” especially praising the Ojakhuri with Grilled Pork and variety of khachapuri. Many guests, like Iryna Shchukina, appreciate the attentive, friendly service and the relaxing ambiance that makes every visit special.

In essence, Ubani - Bay Ridge isn’t just a restaurant-it’s an immersive journey into the heart of Georgian culinary culture. Whether you are discovering these traditional flavors for the first time or craving a familiar taste of home, Ubani offers a deeply satisfying and genuinely memorable dining experience that continues to draw food lovers from around New York City.

I’m Georgian and I have to say, I didn’t get to try this amazing khachapuri in New York. It was an incredible experience! Our American friend was so impressed with our food khinkali, chvistari, Georgian style salad with walnuts, but khachapuri was the absolute best. I’m a regular customer at this restaurant, and their food is always great. But yesterday, I’m not sure what happened, because it was even better than before. I can’t forget the amazing staff. They’re so friendly, just like Georgians are. It felt like home, and I really appreciate that. Keep up the fantastic work!!!

Insanely delicious food across the board! The flavors dance across your tongue. Truly impeccably seasoned. I was impressed by every dish they served- especially the Ojakhuri with Grilled Pork, Beef and Pork Khinkali, Imeruli Khachapuri, and Baked Salmon. 10/10 easily one of the best restaurants in Bay Ridge

As a Ukrainian, I absolutely adore Georgian cuisine, and this place is wow. It’s small and cozy, but the food is unbelievably good. The tkemali sauce was honestly the best I’ve ever tried. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Totally recommend this spot!

As a Georgian myself I can testify this place is legit. Food is nice and good. The interior and the whole design is very well thought and executed. It is very intimate nice place. They have several sitting areas, including outdoor sitting, which is during the winter time heated and well maintained to keep you warm and dry. Service is amazing as well. My only suggestion would be that khinkali should be a little smaller in size because they’re pretty big which is good for the value of the money but smaller ones are easier to consume. Otherwise, the taste the texture everything was perfect. In fact, after our first visit, we had to go back three more times. When you buy the Khachapuri, please don’t forget to order Georgian salad with walnuts. There is the biggest gem combination you will thank me later. I will definitely come in this place for any kind of gatherings, anything from meeting a friend to all the way celebrating some kind of a party like birthday or maybe even an office party in a smaller size. Kudos to the designer and the owners for choosing this aesthetic instead of overwhelming tiring design, we often meet in Brooklyn, Georgian restaurants. This place is must try!

If you want real Georgian food in NYC, this is where you go. Ubani Bay Ridge serves authentic Georgian dishes with a subtle modern touch. I’ve been to the other Ubani locations and plenty of other Georgian restaurants and the Bay Ridge one is definitely the best. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, like it’s homemade. The quality is consistent every time. It truly doesn’t get better than this.
